I try to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary. I'm constantly on the lookout for ways to transform and repurpose odd materials, creating value where there was none. Several of my designs are reversible, allowing wearer both ease and options and a chance to be playful and different. You can typically find me in my Oak Park studio making gold out of a pile of plastic swizzle sticks, vintage buttons and laminate countertop. I majored in studio art at Wellesley College and earned my MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Indiana University. I've taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Indiana University, Northeastern Illinois University, and the College of DuPage. The jewelry I create is lively, colorful, and bold – much like the stellar women who wear it.
